Technical Helicopter Information
|
The BK117 helicopter's rugged construction and large cabin/work space is well suited for the multi-mission role demanded of it in New Zealand.
The rear clamshell doors allow ease of access for both patients and emergency crew.
The helicopter's speed allows for the rapid transport of the critically ill or injured patient. Its agility and stability gives the pilot the confidence required in all weather conditions. With its compact main rotor system, the pilot and crew have the luxury of being able to operate in confined and tight landing areas
